Easter Bunny Honeys

You just knew I'd have to post Easter pics didn't you? =0) Here's Brandon egg hunting with his tongue out. I swear he gets it from me, but it aggravates me to no end! Pull your tongue in and smile kid! LOL Yes even on Easter my kids don't wear shoes... at least Bubba doesn't.
Here's Alexis.... this is the look I got after I told her to stop hunting eggs for a second and take a picture... She thinks I've lost my mind. LOL

Here's the always fashionable Jordan Jasmine sitting in the grass in her Easter dress to check out her Easter egg haul. Not to shabby dear! And just because I can't lose my redneck title by showing you my kids all dolled up I have to show you Bubba sleeping in his wife-beater t-shirt. For those of you that don't live in the south... it's called a wife beater t-shirt because every time you watch the TV show Cops (or for some of us more unfortunate souls who saw people arrested in real life... LOL) the people who are on camera getting arrested for beating people or fighting usually are big old rednecks wearing this type of t-shirt. Thus... it's named a wife-beater.

And with that I say... I hope you and your family had a lovely Easter. I wish you all the blessings and happiness life can bring.

Hugs,

Heather

7 Random Things

These are the rules.... each player starts with 7 random facts about themselves on their My Place Blog. People who are tagged need to blog 7 facts about themselves and post the rules as well. At the end of the blog list 7 people you are tagging. Let them know that they are tagged by leaving them a comment.

1. I drink two very LARGE cups of coffee a day. Hey I have three kids, I have to keep up somehow.

2. I've discovered yoga, and although watching people bend themselves into funny shapes has always amused me, I can't believe how hard it actually is. Oh and it's not supposed to be funny when someone accidentally rips one in yoga class. (But it IS funny!) (No it wasn't me!)

3. At the gym I've noticed there are two kinds of people, people like me who aren't bouncy, and others who are. There is a class where they bounce the whole time, on these little half balls. You wouldn't catch me dead in that class. Better yet if I did that class it probably would kill me, and then I'd be dead anyway. LOL

4. My daughter eats grilled cheese for dinner every night. Why? Because it's the only thing she eats. We don't argue with her because if we do she cuts us off with the declaration that "She is the queen of everything." (She is!)

5. My son has discovered the awesome ability to shove his finger up his nostril as far as it will go. It's not cute. I'm thinking about scrapbooking it though. What does that say about me?

6. I'm thinking about paying someone to sweep and dust my house. A woman can only ignore dust bunnies for so long. How long you ask? Well when the bunnies start turning into full grown rabbits... it can be a problem.

7. My husband has a man cold. He gets the sniffles and thinks he's dying. I get a c-section and am up in 3 days. Go figure. If men had to give birth it'd be the end of the human race. One man would have a baby, then tell all the others how terrible it was, and none of them would ever get pregnant again.

If you read this and you haven't already been tagged, consider yourself tagged!

Hugs,
Heather

You also might be a redneck if...

You taste your first crawfish (not crayfish!) at one year old! Here's Bubba (okay that makes him a redneck too) playing with his first crawfish over this past weekend.

This is the picture I took after he took his first bite. He was not impressed. He tried to put it in his mouth without it being peeled. Don't worry I'm sure he'll be a true Cajun and eat them by the boatload like the rest of us do, by sucking the heads, and pinching the tails. Alexis learned to peel her own crawfish and was so excited. Jordan refused to have anything to do with them.

I'm trying to think what else has been going on. It's actually been pretty quiet lately. (Thank God!) I've been getting in LOTS of scrapbooking which is wonderful considering how far behind I am on pictures.

Alexis has been doing well in school. This is the third month in a row that she's brought home all green behavior reports. We are SO proud.

Jordan is moving to a different physical therapy provider who will do longer sessions. We are looking forward to seeing new gains in her strength.

Brandon has started to take his first tentative steps. He's taken two or three steps a few times. I just know once he starts walking, it will be no time until he's running and I'm running along behind him. It'll be my new weight loss program. LOL

Now I'll leave you with my newest scrapbook page. It's for a contest for some clay scrapbook buttons made by Teresa. I hope I win! LOL

Happy Birthday Concussion

This blog post will be good, bad, and ugly... LOL and full of pictures. Not this past weekend but the one before we went to the park. Here are some of the highlights... I call this one pure joy... Only a child smiles like this. Isn't he such a ham?!
This one entertained me because of the perspective, and the fleeting feeling that my kids were stuck where I'd put them. (Insert evil laugh here.)
In other news, this past weekend on March 2nd Brandon James turned 1 year old. Here's the picture of the day he was born. Okay so he was never little but he was definitely smaller than he is now. Scroll down for the 1 year picture. Here he is at 1 year old. I can not believe how quickly this year has flown by. Seriously it makes me want to cry. Yes he's huge! He wears a 2T, and is over 30 inches tall at 1 year old. Monster man! I was so excited about him having a smush cake. You know the cake where they make a huge mess? Well he wasn't very interested, and he actually ended up fussing because he wanted the icing wiped off of his hand. Later on that night we even gave him another slice, I was hoping that he'd smush it so I could get the dirty cake filled pictures my little pea picking scrapbooking heart desired. Nope he wouldn't touch it. I said, "Alright fine!" "I guess you aren't going to eat your stupid cake." And Jordan piped up from across the table. "Momma, I'm eating my stupid cake." LOL Oh well. Aim for progress not perfection right?!
As is always the case in our house, we couldn't go a full weekend without some drama. Mr. 1 year old himself was practicing his rather wobbly stand alone skills by pulling himself up on the bedroom door. BAD idea! Well the door swung, and he went flying. Right back into the corner of the dresser. I picked him up and was soothing him. I couldn't find a lump on his head but right away he started throwing up. Well the first thing I thought was that he might have a head injury because he'd hit it pretty hard, we raced to the emergency room. On the way he kept trying to pass out. I kept talking to him and doing silly stuff to keep him awake. We got to the hospital and he got a CAT scan, and YEP he has a mild concussion. He is doing much better now, but he threw up for a good 12 hours. Thank goodness he's okay. It could've been so much worse. Here's a picture of him sleeping in the ER. I took it because I'm planning a birthday concussion scrapbook page. Hey he wouldn't eat the stupid cake, so I had to have something to scrapbook about! LOL Sometimes you have to find things to laugh about to keep from crying.

Hugs,
Heather Landry
