Curbside Chaos

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

There's just no denying... It can be really hard to keep up with yard maintenance. Some flowers require a lot of tending, so making your yard pretty can be hard. I use a lot of low maintenance plants to add pops of color to my yard throughout the year. I have several azalea bushes, but my favorite way to add color is with bulbs. Tulips are my favorite flower in the whole wide world. I love buying a batch of mixed tulip bulbs because you never know what type of gorgeous flower will pop up. There's a surprise in every plant! Once they bloom, I cut them and bring them in to decorate or even to give as gifts to spread cheer to my friends.

I love inspiration on working with bulbs, so I regularly  visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more planting ideas. I loved "meeting" Marcy. She's a busy Mom of three just like I am, and I figure if she can keep her yard looking fabulous so can I! She definitely has a point that bulbs are a wonderful way to add color to your life.

Another great website to visit is Curbside Chaos! You can see who won the yard makeover that I posted about a while ago, and you can get expert advice on which bulbs would work best in your yard. All you have to do is pick your country, pick your location in that country, choose the type of bulb you're interested in, and view your planting guide. Easy peasy! While you're there you can also watch a video about Ruth's awesome yard makeover.

What would YOU do with a $5,000 dollar yard makeover? I could come up with a few things! I'm thinking raised flower beds with room for herbs and vegetables. While you're visiting the Curbside Chaos site, please note that it only takes a second to donate $1.00 to Rebuilding Together. All you have to do is write a tweet with the hashtag #CurbsideChaos. Rebuilding Together works to revitalize communities and it's a nationally recognized nonprofit. They've raised over $6,000 dollars so far, but they could do a lot more with your help!
