Last week we went to a small parade in our favorite town, Abita Springs. I always know that the Push Mow parade will be safe, and family friendly. It's the perfect place to take the kids.
Jordan's doctor decided that she needed casts on her legs after the last round of Botox shots, so we traveled to Slidell to get them done. We tried to distract her with the phone, and when we got home I put all sorts of bling on her casts. She is all about being fabulous all the time.
Brandon turned seven last week and we baked him a cake for a small family celebration. His big party is later this month. He's a crazy 52 inches tall. He's taller than Alexis was when she turned eleven. I'm absolutely positive that he'll be taller than I am by the time he's twelve years old.
It's been a pretty rough week, but I got a super sweet surprise to cheer me up. Ronnie and Brandon went shopping for window blinds at Lowes, but they came back with tulips. Tulips are my favorite flower, and I was thrilled to see a little bit of Spring!
We also worked on renovating Alexis' room over the weekend. We patched holes, added wainscoting, repainted, and moved stuff around. She was very excited about the entire process.
I took several photos while the project was in progress. The color she chose is a pinky purple. I know, that doesn't make much sense. The best way I can explain it is that it depends on the light in her room. Sometimes it's pink and sometimes it looks purple. Perfect for the girl who couldn't decide between pink and purple. Ha!
I also got my long awaited Silhouette Cameo last week and I am already in looooove. I'm planning to take several classes, including a designer class to learn the ins and outs of the software.
In other news, Sophie is still sick. She's been to the vet four times in the last month! She has no tear production in one of her eyes now, and she has to have four different drops twice a day. Have I mentioned that she hates the drops? Yep. I'm having Lady flashbacks.
I'm sure you see what I meant? Busy, busy, busy. Thankfully, the kids are off of homeschool this week for Mardi Gras and I can recuperate a bit. I managed to finish a few layouts to share, and I'm thinking about the direction of my blog. I definitely need to know about file preferences for the die cut freebies I give away here. Do you prefer svg files or studio files?
