Big, Giant, HUGE, SPLASH!: Disney 2014

We've been on quite a few Disney trips, but I never got to ride Splash Mountain. It was always closed when we went because we go in winter to avoid large crowds. We lucked out last year and it was open. Alexis wanted to sit in the front row so badly that she used her wish on the It's A Small World ride to wish that we would sit in the front. I found out when they seated us in the front row and she started shouting, "Yes!" She cracks me up. It was worth the wait, we had fun!

I used Crate Paper's Open Road collection to create this project. I thought the feathers and banjo would work really well with the country theme of the ride. The picture of Alexis and I is one of my favorites from this trip. We were absolutely soaking wet! Thank goodness it wasn't too cold.

You're Gonna Hear Me Roar: Disney 2014

Our Disney vacation in 2014 was very memorable, and I finally got to scrap one of my favorite parts! Alexis was chosen to lead a group during the Lion King show in the Animal Kingdom. We were the lion section and she did an absolutely awesome job roaring to demonstrate what we were supposed to do. Ronnie and I were shocked that she raised her hand because she can be a little shy. We were so proud of her. She acted like it was something she did every day!

All of the supplies on this page came from Basic Grey's fantastic Second City line. Again, the colors were just perfect for the pictures that I snapped. I thought that Katy Perry's song lyrics worked wonderfully with my theme.

Lights, Motors, ACTION!: Disney 2014

Our last Disney trip was well planned out if I say so myself, but I can't predict rain. We waited a long time for the Lights, Motors, Action! show to happen. Unfortunately, it was drizzling and they were not going on due to safety issues. My mother-in-law and I took the girls to hold our lunch reservations while the guys stayed to watch the show. The boys made it just in time to eat lunch, but they cut it really close!

I mostly used Crate Paper's Open Road collection to scrap this page. I pulled all of the yellow and blue accents from the collection to match a small strip that I had left from a piece of Elle's Studio Saltwater paper. Of course, the speed limit sign and license plate were perfect embellishments.

My next layout was created with Basic Grey's Second City collection. I specifically bought the collection to match these photos. We stumbled upon Oaken's Trading Post in Hollywood Studios, and the kids just HAD to build a snowman. We don't get snow often in Louisiana, so they were thrilled to play in the ice. Ronnie was less happy as it was very slippery, and I sent him in there to help Jordan. Everyone made it out in one piece and fun was had by all.

I also used some older Scraptastic Club stamps that I've had in my stash for a while on this project. I'm trying to stamp more, but I find it hard once the layout is together because I'm worried I'll ruin it. Does anyone else feel that way?

Let's Go Fast!: Disney 2014

My husband's favorite ride in Disney World is Tomorrowland Speedway. It is a mandatory stop when we go on vacation. The only problem? It's so hard to get photos of everyone on the ride. I was super proud that I managed to get pictures this time!

I used Crate Paper's Open Road collection to create this page. I loved all of the car themed embellishments. They couldn't have been any more perfect! The orange Thickers aren't from that collection, but they worked really well. The mist is Heidi Swapp, and the black letters are from Lily Bee. I love it when I'm able to pull older goodies from my stash!

Oh No You Didn't!: SVG Freebie

It's been a long time since I posted a freebie because I haven't been scrapping as much as I used to before I started working. I recently needed a card for a layout I'm planning, so I made one and I thought I'd share. You'll find the preview below.

Scrapbook SVG Freebie Card

My girls say this all the time to each other, and it cracks me up! You can download your scrapbooking card freebie by clicking on the link or the image.
