Pirated Kisses

I was supposed to go to the grocery store this afternoon but we are under a severe thunderstorm watch so that's not going to happen. (Yay!) Instead, I think I'll scrapbook this afternoon. Right after I share this page! Rainy days are great for scrapbooking and naps. It's hard to choose between the two sometimes, but I think I'll scrapbook today.

This project features one of the best pictures I have of Brandon. We spent some time on my grandpa's house boat a few years ago with my Mom. We were all hanging out and visiting when Mom and I suddenly had the urge to steal some kisses. Stealing kisses works really well on boats because your victim can't escape. My grandma snapped this photo at the perfect time! I love Brandon's big grin. Poor kiddo... You can tell how much we torture him.

I used Simple Stories' I Heart Summer collection to create this layout. I loved all of the nautical embellishments. The felt wave border was given to me a few years ago by a friend. I frequently look for ways to use older goodies with new collections, and it works wonderfully! I was inspired by Ashley Horton's design in her free Silhouette class on Scrapbook.com.

Me & You

I let Jordan miss school after her therapy appointment so I could take her to our local farmer's market a few years ago. We walked around and discovered lots of yummy fruits and veggies. She saw a stand with tacos and I bought her a few of them. I loved spending time with her, and it was a beautiful day.

Everything on this page is from Basic Grey's Herbs and Honey collection except for the pink letters and the buttons. The buttons are by Crate Paper, and the alphabet stickers are from October Afternoon. I created this design out of tiny scraps that I had left over on my desk.

Love Notes

Alexis loves writing her cards for Valentine's day. She chooses each one carefully so her friends will like them. It is a very serious process and she gets really excited about it every year! She has always loved giving gifts and making things for others.

I used Fancy Pant's Love Birds collection to create this page. I was inspired by Ashley Horton's layout from her Scrapbook.com class about using the Silhouette machine. It took me a while to back all of the hearts with paper, but I really think it was worth it. Again, this project is busier than my usual style but I ended up loving the finished design.

So Awesome

Brandon is lucky to have some friends who love playing video games as much as he does. They speak each other's language. When they sleepover, their antics are so much fun to witness. They always have the best time together! I decided to document a recent awesome sleepover and this page is the result.

I used Crate Paper's Boys Rule collection to create my layout. The video game embellishments and the bright colors were perfect for scrapping this group of gamers.
